Anthony Charles Lynton "Tony" Blair, born May 6, 1953 in Edinburgh, Scotland, is a British politician (Labor) who was Britain's prime minister in 1997-2007. Blair became leader of the British Labor Party in July 1994 after the representative, John Smith's sudden descent. Under Blair's leadership, the party won a landslide victory in the parliamentary elections in Britain in 1997, thus ending eighteen years of conservative rule. Blair is the Labor Minister who has been sitting the longest, the only person who has led the party to three consecutive voters and the only Labor politician who has been sitting for several full consecutive periods as prime minister.
