Franklin Delano Roosevelt, also known as the FDR, born January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, New York, died April 12, 1945 in Warm Springs, Georgia, was the 321 president of the United States (1933-1945) and a central figure in world events during the first half of 1900s. He led the United States through a period of global economic depression and during World War II.
